The afternoon sun behind them, I nestled down into the muddy shore of Airlie Lake to capture the bokeh bouncing off the waters as I shot these two Yellow Bellied Slider Turtles. One of the great joys of this area's waterways are the sliders who offer visual beauty, and whimsical behaviors, most notably perching on fallen branches, rocks, etc. in the warm sun. I strive to find combinations of animal and light that show off form and characteristics of the animal. These did not disappoint.
