Everything you need to know about painting from one of my photographs

I absolutely love that other artists are inspired by my captures. I thrill in seeing the interpretations and stylistic intricacies of another artist's eye! Below you will find my guidelines for Artist reproduction and an ARTIST GALLERY! If you see an image elsewhere on my website, please message me to see if that image can be licensed.

$175. USD

Established Artists who plan to sell the painting. This is a REFERENCE FEE and ADDITIONAL percentage arrangements must be made with me PRIOR to beginning a work if any reproductions are to be made and sold, once or ongoing. Keep in mind that a credit / reference credit should accompany all publicly displayed works, EVERY time the works are displayed, not just the initial showing.

VARIABLE

All royalty agreements are individually decided based on your intentions with the art you create from my reference materials. We will; work fairly and specifically to come up with our unique agreement! Specifics below.

  • Percentage Royalties: We must agree on a percentage of the final sale price, commonly ranging between 15%-20%, paid once the painting / prints* sell.

  • *A percentage also applies if you plan to sell PRINTS / LIMITED EDITIONS/ BIN WORK ETC.

  • ANY commercialization of the piece needs to have an agreement in place between us BEFORE ANY SALE CAN BE MADE.

Important Factors to Consider if we collaborate:

  • Copyright Rules: Painting directly from another person's copyrighted photograph without permission is technically a violation of copyright, even if your medium is completely different. So please ask before starting a project.

  • Commercial vs. Personal: Prices and permissions change drastically if the painted interpretation is used for commercial business profits rather than a single fine art piece.
